Conrad Bengaluru is one of the upscale and amazing hotels which I always dreamt of staying at. Located in central Bengaluru near MG Road, Conrad Bengaluru is one of the best places where foreign visitors stay and experience the luxury provided here.
During the difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had an opportunity to have a staycation experience at one of the hotels which I was on my list to stay and I immediately grabbed the opportunity and was waiting for D-Day to arrive I made all my preparations of stay here and visited the upscale Conrad for stay.
I left my home to reach the location and was screened at the entrance where body temperature was taken via infrared thermometer and was let in. The baggage was sanitized and we were provided with sanitizer for sanitizing, collected basic details, and checked the aarogya setu app. Once in we checked-in to the hotel. The location has a contactless check-in where every detail is digital.
Half an hour into our check-in we were provided with Tea/Coffee at the Caraway Kitchen and were briefed about the restaurant. And during lunchtime, we were provided with Lunch at Caraway Kitchen and also had an opportunity to witness the Battle of Chefs.
Once tasty and appetite full lunch was done, we had a personal tete-a-tete with Executive Chef Praveen Shetty who let us know about the safety and hygiene standards that are followed at utmost precaution at the location. From cleaning the vegetables to the utensils, from blow-drying the food plates and spoon/forks the hotel gives no room for any spread of infection. Praveen Shetty let us know how the hotel tried to maintain hygiene since the beginning stage of the pandemic.
Later after the chat with Praveen Shetty, it was a leisure time and from 19:30 hrs onwards was a cocktail and music night at Tiamo which is an in-house restaurant and pub at Conrad Bengaluru. After a night of experience, I went back to my room for Day 2 of stay experience at Conrad Bengaluru.
Day 2 began early and the first thing was the thing which I have found as a newfound love ie, fitness. The workout session was exhaustive with the trainer at the fitness center and it was time for healthy breakfast from Caraway Kitchen and it was yummy and was hygienic and healthy. After breakfast, had a relaxing spa session for an hour and by the time of the spa session, it was lunchtime at Caraway Kitchen which I tried on the first day and was excited to try today.
Soon after the lunch which made me full, it was a leisure time where I was briefed that the hotel team will be showcasing a new menu at Mikusu which is an in-house restaurant at Conrad. At around 19:30 hrs I visited Mikusu and witnessed the magic of food being prepared and was given the list of the new menu at the restaurant. Savored the new menu and returned back to the hotel room for day 3 and final day stay at Conrad.
My last day of stay at Conrad Bengaluru began at Caraway Kitchen where I was provided breakfast and was the time for a show round of the hotel where we were provided a tour of the hotel lobby, banquet floor, grand ballroom, junior ballroom, Dining places such as Mikusu, Tiamo, Infinity pool, Fitness centers, and Spa. All these places have followed covid-19 safety protocols set by the government. The staff and visitors are frequently briefed about any information, things to do, things to be followed, etc and this made me sure that Conrad is a perfect place to stay after things start to open up.
Soon after, the briefing, we were provided lunch and was provided a fond farewell thus ending my stay experience at Conrad Bengaluru.
