As 2020 comes to an end, it’s time to wind down and celebrate the passing of challenges we’ve overcome. What better way to celebrate than with some drinks?
With bars still unsafe to patronise, it’s best to bring the party indoors (with social distancing of course). So, here are 13 platforms you can order booze delivery from.
Do note that most of the brands mentioned below will only deliver on the weekdays, excluding public holidays.
1. Albert Wines
Launched in 1992 in KL, Albert Wines serves both B2C and B2B clients from airports and duty-free islands, to 5-Star restaurants and hotels.
You’ll also be able to find limited edition liquor here on top of their wide range of wines and spirits.
Same-day deliveries are available to selected Klang Valley areas. Self-pickup is also available at their store from Mondays to Fridays.
If bottles delivered to you are broken or missing, you can arrange for a replacement once they’ve verified your claims with their courier service.
Minimum order: N/A, but there is a limit of RM10,000 per transaction.
Delivery fee: RM12 for standard delivery and RM20 for same-day delivery. Free delivery is offered when RM199 or more is spent in one order and to a single shipping address.
Order from: Their website.
2. Boozeat
With the intention of making authentic alcohol deliveries convenient, Boozeat offers a selection of wines and spirits along with light bites to pair with your booze.
The platform prides themselves on their best price guarantee, so if you happen to find a cheaper rate elsewhere, you can inform Boozeat who will refund the amount of difference to you upon their review.
All orders placed after 3pm will be delivered the following working day.
Minimum order: N/A
Delivery fee: RM15 for orders below RM300. Free delivery is available for orders above RM300.

3. Brotenders
Brotenders is a service that not only delivers drinks to you, but brings along a team of bartenders, mixologists, and servers to your event.
But if you’d rather have a drink with a small intimate group, their platform delivers freshly mixed cocktails and mocktails, the team’s speciality.
As the favourability of cocktails tends to be specific to individuals, each cocktail comes with descriptions about its flavour profiles to help you make your choice.
Upon purchasing, orders can be delivered the following day, or at a scheduled date.
Minimum order: N/A
Delivery fee: RM15 in the Klang Valley and RM20 to the rest of West Malaysia. Free delivery is available for orders above RM150.

You can also purchase bar snacks like muruku or pistachio and cashew nuts to accompany your drinks. However, they will not entertain requests for surprise gifting.
Receivers must be aware of the parcel they are getting and answer the courier’s phone call in the event of scheduling clashes.

You can also purchase from their range of snacks, mixers, and party supplies for a one-stop-shop to get the necessities for a cocktail party at home.
The app also has a party planning tool that can help you pre-populate your cart with sufficient amounts of booze. It’s a helpful feature for those who just don’t have the time to plan the nitty-gritty.
SoTipsy claims it can deliver your orders within an hour upon checkout in Klang Valley. If you fall outside of this region, expect a 2-5 day waiting period.
But be warned that you would need to schedule deliveries 7 days in advance for events which require larger quantities of drinks.

-//-
Out of all the options here, my go-to would be SoTipsy, just because I’d want to test their claims of being able to deliver my booze and cocktail supplies within an hour.
It’s worth noting that their operating hours are between 10AM to 12AM every day, so it most likely only applies to orders that fall within these times.
Their party planning tool would also be resourceful in ensuring that there’s enough booze to go around for everyone.
All in all, they’re a great resource to have for those who’d want to throw a spontaneous (but SOP-complying) house party during the holidays.
