CHICAGO (CBS)– Some Chicago-area hospitals haven’t gotten their shipments of the Pfizer vaccine.
Elmhurst Hospital remains to be ready to obtain practically 2,000 doses.
Earlier within the week, a spokesman from the hospital system instructed CBS 2 they hoped to get the vaccine on Tuesday, then Wednesday and now the hospital has discovered their cargo gained’t arrive till Thursday.
At a press convention in Peoria Tuesday, Governor J.B. Pritzker was questioned concerning the delay in deliveries.
The governor stated there are “no delays, all the things is ok and logistics are working.”
He went on to say many hospitals have been “overly excited” and that’s why hospital spokespeople stated they have been anticipating the vaccines on both Monday or Tuesday.
Edward Hospital in Naperville is slated to obtain 1,950 doses.
