The outdoor ice rink at Lanspeary Lions Park is opening to the public Monday.
Weather permitting, the rink will accommodate up to 25 people for one-hour skating sessions.
Pre-registration is required. Registration opens Sunday at 7:30 a.m., only at activewindsor.ca. Due to reduced service levels, staff are not available to take phone reservations at this time.
Reserved sessions will be one hour in length with 30 minutes in between sessions for staff to groom the ice surface and provide enhanced cleaning prior to the start of the next session.
COVID-19 protocol will be in place and participants are asked to arrive for their reserved time no more than 10 minutes early. Participants will be required to physically distance during check-in and a pre-screening will be conducted.
Masks are required until participants are on the ice. Helmets are encouraged.
Washrooms are available but no additional facilities are open.
Monday’s sessions will be at 4, 5:30, 7 and 8:30 p.m.
After Monday, skating is available in reserved hour-long sessions, from 8 a.m. until the last session ending at 9:30 p.m., through Jan. 3.
The rink will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31. There will be no public skating Dec. 25 or Jan. 1.
