Three more deaths are being attributed to the COVID-19 virus in Windsor and Essex County, according to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
The health unit reported Sunday morning that a woman in her 70s from the community and a man and a woman, both in their 80s and living in long-term care, have died.
That brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the region to 98.
The health unit is also reporting a further 117 confirmed cases, with seven being outbreak related, four cases from close contact with someone with a confirmed case, one is community acquired and 105 are under investigation.
The new cases bring the overall count for the region to 5,734, with 1,066 active cases and 4,570 resolved cases.
Currently, 74 people are hospitalized because of COVID-19.
There are reported outbreaks at 12 long-term care or retirement homes, up one from Saturday, and two more workplaces, bringing the total to 13.
