Evangelical leader Rev. Franklin Graham recently made a list of all the things he was grateful to President Donald Trump for over the last four years, including bringing back ‘Merry Christmas.’
Graham wrote on Facebook, “I’m thankful that the president stood against the secularists who wanted to take Christ out of Christmas and that he brought back the greeting “Merry Christmas!”

Trump Said He Helped Keep ‘Christmas’ In Christmas
Last year around the holiday season, President Trump told conservative student group Turning Point USA that he helped preserve and further popularize keeping “Christmas” in the public sphere.
“Do you remember they were trying to take ‘Christmas’ out of Christmas?,” Trump asked the students. “Do you remember? They didn’t want to let you say ‘Merry Christmas.”

Trump: ‘They Are Going To Say Merry Christmas Again’
Trump said that during his 2016 presidential campaign, “They are going to say Merry Christmas again.” And now, he said, “They are.”
The president continued, “That’s the least of it, too. Because we got a lot of things that they’re doing that they weren’t doing.”

While there is no discernible way to measure the frequency to which ‘Merry Christmas’ was used by the general public before and after Trump’s election, we do know he hasn’t been shy about using the phrase.
Trump is not the only modern president unafraid to use ‘Merry Christmas’ and the left-leaning media outlets have deduced that there is no actual war on Christmas, as some conservatives insist.
The WHO now recommends against hugging over the holidays.

But there has been debate in recent years about whether saying ‘Merry Christmas’ is politically correct or not.
