Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean absolutely leveled Andrew Cuomo after the New York Governor boasted that Santa would be “very good to him because he “worked hard this year.”
“So. A healthy holiday, and I’m going to have a great one,” Cuomo told reporters at the conclusion of a coronavirus press conference on Monday.
“Santa’s going to be very good to me – I can tell,” he added. “I worked hard this year.”
Dean, whose husband’s parents were both victims of COVID-19, and in whom nursing homes in New York played a part, fired back on social media.
“Worked hard to help kill seniors, jobs and New York State in general?” she quipped.

“He definitely worked hard on his book deal, his Emmy award, and lying through his teeth all year,” she tweeted.
Indeed, Cuomo, the leader of a state which had by far the highest number of COVID-related deaths, is currently selling a book about how he conquered the pandemic.
I wonder if @NYGovCuomo asks that they plug his book before his appearance because that’s even more gross.

In another tweet, Dean notes how Cuomo, during a CNN segment, had his book plugged by the network.
“Ugh. Plugging a book that makes money (off) the deaths of others,” she seethed.

Santa Should Know About the Cuomo Nursing Home Scandal
Cuomo’s remarks about Santa looking fondly on his efforts are particularly audacious considering the governor is currently embroiled in a scandal in which he issued an executive order forcing nursing homes to take on patients that had tested positive for coronavirus.
The order prohibited facilities from requiring incoming patients “to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission,” and may have contributed to well over 6,600 deaths in New York.
The CDC unfortunately made it optional for nursing homes to report COVID deaths in March, April and early May, when NY’s pandemic was at its worst.
But some homes did the right thing — and often gave numbers strikingly higher than reported by NYS DOH. https://t.co/6WSYZno25L pic.twitter.com/zIQOPExDLH

Cuomo’s tactic in responding to the scandal has been to deny it ever happened.
“It just never happened in New York, where we needed to say to a nursing home, ‘We need you to take this person even though they’re COVID positive,’” he said. “It never happened.”
He even denied there was a directive ordering COVID-positive patients to be taken into nursing homes.
Dean called him out at the time and she had the goods to back her up.

“Just a reminder that [Cuomo] ordered over 6,000 Covid patients into nursing homes for 46 days, didn’t use the Javits Center or the Comfort ship that were provided by the federal government, and is still lying about the total number of seniors that died from it,” tweeted Dean.

Fox Business host and colleague of Dean’s, Charles Payne, also took a shot at Cuomo’s Santa remarks, focusing on his extraordinary efforts to kill the economy in New York.
“The egomaniac that Gov. Cuomo has either become or is finally displaying is so sickening,” Payne said.
“He worked hard? Well, in New York state, a lot of other folks didn’t work hard. They got one of the highest unemployment rates — 10 percent,” he added.
“Where on this list is he allowed to pat himself on the back? Where is he allowed to suggest that somehow he has done a superlative job?” Payne concluded. “No, he doesn’t get anything from Santa. He should get a bunch of coal and some humility.”
Humility is not a trait ANY member of the Cuomo family possesses.
