It’s beginning to look a lot like a white Christmas.
Environment Canada is warning Calgarians to expect a large dump of snow over the next two days — 15 to 25 centimetres of the white stuff is expected to blanket the city by Tuesday evening.
The winter storm bringing the snow will also bring strong winds Tuesday morning, which will cause poor visibility, the government’s weather department said in the warning issued Monday morning.
“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions,” Environment Canada said. “There may be a significant impact on rush-hour traffic in urban areas. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.”
The Calgary International Airport warned travellers on Twitter that the incoming snow will impact flights.
