A former “Survivor” contestant and his mother have been charged with stealing jewelry and furniture from a family member’s Virginia home, a report said.
Jonny Fairplay — who is best known for lying about his “dead grandmother” on the reality show — turned himself in for the alleged theft on Friday, the Danville Register & Bee.
His mother, 68-year-old Patsy Terry Hall, was also arrested for the crime.
The duo were charged with grand larceny for the thefts from a Danville home in October, the newspaper reported, citing local authorities.
They are accused of stealing a $5,000 silver necklace, a leather desk chair, three bar stools and an end table from the home, the report said.
“I (we) have been unjustly charged by a family member. I welcome the opportunity to vindicate myself (and my mother),” Fairplay wrote in a message to The Associated Press on Wednesday night.
