Jurgen Klopp claims he did not even realise Sadio Mane was in the middle of a goal drought, as he prepares Liverpool to take on West Brom in Sunday.
The Reds forward has not scored in any of his last 10 games. However, that is not bothering Klopp in the slightest as his team sits top of the table.
Speaking ahead of the clash against Sam Allardyce’s Baggies, the Liverpool boss said: “We didn’t even know [10-game drought]! I would have lost everything if I had to bet on how many games he hadn’t scored for.
“One of our best players in the world hasn’t scored for a while, who cares? Difficult to defend, if Sadio has the ball you need 2/3 on him.”
As for the threat posed by West Brom at the weekend, Klopp admitted that he knows what to expect.
He added: “Of course, it’s tricky one. We analysed it this morning and it’s a mix of Everton when Sam was there and what I expect is a tough opponent. Always tough vs his teams.

Proper fight from Baggies
“West Brom will go for a proper fight. Sam is a specialist for this type of fight. A tough game.
“We analyse them and try to get info but we focus on what we can influence and that is it.
“Hopefully we have the ball a lot and create. If we create we have to do that together and be there for counter-pressing. I’d rather know a lot but most times they change vs us.”
Allardyce has onlt been at the Hawthorns for a matter of days, and Klopp admits that creates a slight issue.
He added: “They have more info about us than we do them. Sam only had a few days before Villa, not a lot of changes.
“They replace Livermore but when we prepare we use the games they play then they play a different way vs us because of our football. Always tricky.”
