APRIL 23:BUZZ ON BIDET; QUIT HOARDING TP!Thanks to the great toilet paper hoarding hysteria created by COVID-19, bidets finally found their place of honour in North American bathrooms. The bidet has now been recognized as the perfect answer to the toilet paper shortage.
MAY 20: IT’S A CAKEWALK!Everyone was jumping on the baking bandwagon, first with banana bread, later with bread in general. Premier Doug Ford showed his whimsical side by offering his late mother’s favourite cheesecake recipe – with a video tutorial, no less.
JUNE 25: MANY TURNING TO PSYCHICS FOR ANSWERS: The New York Timescalled psychic mediums the new “wellness coaches.” Internationally-renowned Canadian medium Angel Morgan said business was booming. “People (were) using this time to re-evaluate their lives and how they wanted to move forward once things opened up again.”
JULY 16:JOEY PANTS:Interview with award-winning actor Joe Pantoliano, who offered up some memorable mouthfuls of growing up Italian in Hoboken, N.J., where foods included such fave dishes as “pasta fazool,” and Sunday gravy, or rich, meat-infused tomato sauce as we call it here. “We were ethnically diverse – I liked the diversity, it defined us, gave us our identity.”
