On the eve ofan NHL season that is expected to see Canadian teams playing at home, Montreal Canadiens goalkeeper Carey Price and his family set out on their journey back to Canada
Like everything else in this pandemic year, that proved to be a challenge.
In a series of Instagram stories, Angela Price documented the family’s journey back from her parents’ home in in Kennewick, Wash.
“Back in March, we came to stay in my parent’s basement for what we thought would be a couple of weeks and now here we are, just about 10 months later,” Price wrote in a recent blog post last week.
(Obviously Carey Price left the basement to lead the Habs on a surprising run in the post-season.)
“Today has been adventure,” she wrote on Saturday, explaining she’d been so worried about crossing the border into Canada that she hadn’t expected U.S. customs to block the couple’s third child Lincoln, who was born in October.
“Linc and I dropped off in Plattsburgh to hopefully drive across the [border] while Carey and the girls continue on the flight to Montreal,” she added.
