STILL IN THE HUNT
In addition to Washington, there were scenarios whereby each of the following four teams could have clinched a playoff berth, but none did, because all lost: Cleveland, Indianapolis, Arizona and the Rams.
In the AFC, entering Sunday night, four teams all had 10-5 records and were battling for one of three wild-card berths: the Browns, Ravens, Miami Dolphins (who eliminated Las Vegas on Saturday night with a crazy, comeback 26-25 win) and Colts.
Each of Cleveland, Baltimore and Miami just need to win its final game (vs. Pittsburgh, at Cincinnati and at Buffalo, respectively) to snag one of those wild-card berths.
The Colts need to beat Jacksonville and hope one of the three above teams lose, or hope Tennessee lost at Green Bay and loses at Houston.
In the NFC, the Rams (9-6) need to beat Arizona (8-7) or hope Chicago (8-7) loses to Green Bay.
The Cardinals get in by beating the Rams, or if the Bears lose or tie.
If the Rams lose to the Cardinals and the Bears beat the Packers, the Rams are out.
