UAE System For Personal Protective Equipment Launched
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has developed a nationwide system for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The system outlines a set of technical specs for the manufacture of face masks, protecting and medical gloves, eye shields, medical clothes, chemical sterilisers, disinfectants and different merchandise which might be in step with worldwide greatest practices.
This new system will happen within the first quarter of 2021. The system will function a high-quality normal for the PPE’s equipped in UAE markets in addition to stop any sub-standard merchandise from hitting the cabinets.

Abdulla Al Maeeni, Head of Standardisation and Metrology Department on the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology stated, “The system was developed in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Ministry’s strategic partners, within the context of integrating national efforts and ensuring the quality control of products traded in the UAE market. It prevents the presence of products that do not conform with the UAE standard specification.”
