This holiday season as Christmas nears, make sure to watch your favourite movies and bond firmly with your family. Sit down, relax, and chill. To watch them, you can always go for good TV packages such as the Spectrum TV packages or opt for IPTV offerings. Regardless, make sure to watch the amazing movies below:
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
A movie that’s 74 years old yet it stays relevant to date. Two hours and twelve minutes of this movie will keep you rooted to your seat. It comes with a beautiful message of hope. Even if things don’t go your way do not worry. A time will come when you will be able to see good times as well. George Bailey, the protagonist goes through lots of troubles during the movie. He almost ends up in jail! Yes, you read that right! His uncle does get there though! However, good things come to pass as well. During the toughest time of his life, happiness dawns upon him as Christmas approaches. A very good movie with life lessons.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Another excellent movie from the past. 73 years old but this movie comes with some excellent acting. In fact, the acting is so good that Kris Kringle won an Oscar. And guess what? He was playing the role of Santa Claus. The script of the movie is very strong and you will see some powerful acting performances complementing it throughout. You will see the struggles of a single mother who is divorced. The movie shows the way an 8-year old sees her life change towards religion. It is important to read different scriptures instead of following what the media shows us. This movie shows us the journey of a child to a purposeful life.
Home Alone (1990)
This movie stays relevant till today and is definitely going to shine for future generations as well. We’ve all seen it and it is a fun movie for the entire family to watch together. The comedy in this fabulous movie is just next level. I mean you’re definitely going to have your stomach muscles aching towards the end due to laughter. You should definitely watch this golden movie when it’s possible.
A Christmas Carol (1951)
Filmed in 1951 and written by Charles Dickens, this is a great movie to watch. However, do note that it features a ghost or more. Watch it to find out! You will like the way the plot is set up and the way the characters interact with one another. Some parents have found the movie to be quite unsettling so check out for parental reviews before you sit down with your kids to watch it.
A Christmas Story (1983)
This is a good movie to watch as well. The movie depicts the simple, easy-going life of people near Christmas. You look at how the parents are doing their chores near the holidays and how everyone is excited. The shopping mall Santa also wants to be involved in all the shopping activities. It’s a beautiful movie to watch with your family.
Die Hard (1988)
Don’t be taken aback for this is a Christmas movie as well. And it comes with a very strong storyline and good actors. I particularly adore the way a husband is battling his way to save his wife. Some of the action, you’re bound to find hilarious. It definitely is not possible in the real world. I mean, the way Santa squeezes through the tight spaces in the buildings, that’s a little too difficult to digest. However, that happens! Good movie to watch with your friends and family.
All these movies are really good to watch near the holiday season. If you no longer use cable TV then try looking for some good internet packages to stream them on your phone. By simply calling my Spectrum phone number I upgraded my plan to enjoy my favorite content even on the go.
Enjoy your holidays with your family to the fullest!
