CNN reporter and self-styled resistance warrior Jim Acosta said covering President Trump “might merit hazard pay” and suggested his time doing so was a “non-stop national emergency.”
Acosta, who frequently makes the story about himself as he desperately seeks attention from his left-wing media peers, made the comments for a piece published by The Atlantic.
The CNN reporter insists his “on-air indignation” for the President was real and warranted due to his treatment of the media, before admitting he had no intentions of being so combative with President-elect Joe Biden.
“You can’t just go and trash the press and totally lie to the American people and tell them real news is fake news,” he told the Atlantic.
“I don’t think the press should be trying to whip up the Biden presidency and turn it into must-see TV in a contrived way.”
Acosta went on to allege Trump’s treatment of the press was a “non-stop national emergency” and insinuated it was “an experience that might merit hazard pay.”
CNN’s Jim Acosta was the most flamboyantly adversarial reporter in the Trump White House. Maybe you thought he was partisan. No! Acosta says he took that stance because Trump’s criticism of the press was a ‘nonstop national emergency.’ From @TheAtlantic https://t.co/b0jyw7XD6Z pic.twitter.com/xSy6aGy8DP

That’s cute, Jim.
CNN is supposedly ‘real news’ not ‘fake news’ and yet, for years, they peddled a Russia collusion conspiracy theory that ultimately turned out to be a hoax?
They had three staffers resign after publishing and ultimately retracting a story linking a Trump transition team member to the Russia-related investigations.
CNN was also consistently doling out misinformation regarding COVID, declaring that “racist assaults and ignorant attacks against Asians” were spreading faster than the pandemic” and telling viewers it was less deadly than the flu.
They downplayed China’s role in spreading the virus and took their state-run media numbers at face value … until Biden had won the election.
They covered up the Hunter Biden scandal.
But yea, how dare President Trump trash that kind of garbage, eh?
Steve Krakauer, a one-time senior digital producer for CNN, blasted Acosta’s comments as “literally delusional” or “continued kayfabe.”
Jim Acosta described Trump’s treatment of the media as a “nonstop national emergency,” and described working at the White House as “an experience that might merit hazard pay.”

Acosta Is An Embarrassment To Actual Journalists
This isn’t the first time Krakauer has laid waste to Jim Acosta’s integrity.
During one particularly sad attention-seeking episode, the CNN reporter repeatedly shouted a question asking President Trump if he would stop calling media members like himself what they truly are.
“Mr. President, will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people!?” Acosta shouted, prompting another person in the crowd to ‘shush’ him.

Krakauer replied by blasting Acosta as “self-serving” and “truly an embarrassment, on multiple levels,” complaining that he “give(s) all good journalists a bad name.”
This also isn’t the first time Acosta has portrayed himself as a mighty media warrior defending the world from the evil Donald Trump.
Take, for instance, this gem of an introductory description of his book from publisher Harper-Collins:
From CNN’s veteran Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta, an explosive, first-hand account of the dangers he faces reporting on the current White House while fighting on the front lines in President Trump’s war on truth.
In Mr. Trump’s campaign against what he calls “Fake News,” CNN Chief White House Correspondent, Jim Acosta, is public enemy number one.
Whoa! Perhaps the book will one day be made into a movie titled, Saving Private Acosta.
Do you really want a guy fighting a ‘war’ on truth who has been so bent on ‘fighting the establishment’ that he once walked out of a press briefing practically teary-eyed?
Perhaps that’s why conservative actor James Woods once referred to Acosta as a “court jester.”
His actions demonstrate that he is more interested in gaining fame than being an actual journalist.
And the real non-stop national emergency is a mainstream media as corrupt as any institution in America.
