B.C.’S COVID-19 CASE NUMBERS
As of the latest figures given on Dec. 29:
• Total number of confirmed cases: 50,815 (7,580 active)
• New cases since Dec. 24: 2,206
• Hospitalized cases: 373
• Intensive care: 80
• COVID-19 related deaths: 882 (78 new)
• Cases under public health monitoring: 9,414 (estimated)
• Recovered: 41,175
• Long-term care and assisted-living homes, and acute care facilities currently affected: 61
