Even without big parties and big crowds, there will still be major music events happening on New Year’s Eve.
Of course, there will be “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on ABC, with this year’s performers including Jennifer Lopez, Billy Porter and Cyndi Lauper. And there will also be “NBC’s New Year’s Eve 2021” featuring Gwen Stefani, Kylie Minogue, Chloe x Halle, Pentatonix and more.
But there is much more live music being streamed to help you bring in 2021 on a happy note. Here, our guide to NYE concerts for you to enjoy from the safety of your own home.
Justin Bieber
JB started his comeback year in a big way with his single “Yummy” and album “Changes,” and now he’s going out of 2020 with a bang. Tickets for his “NYE Live” concert — an arena-sized event which, in addition to streaming live beginning at 10:15 p.m., will air twice more on New Year’s Day — are $25 and available at JustinBieberNYE.com.
John Legend and more
The “Voice” coach headlines the Abracadabra virtual three-day festival, which will stream Wednesday through New Year’s Day on Twitch. “Wake Me Up” singer Aloe Blacc, EDM trio Major Lazer and DJ Kaskade are among the other acts who will be helping to raise money for Save Our Stages through donations. Just RSVP at AbraFest.com.
Dua Lipa, J Balvin and Kane Brown
After taking her fans to the dance floor of the future with her “Studio 2054” livestream concert last month, the “Don’t Start Now” singer will keep the disco ball twirling as part of “Hello 2021,” a free YouTube Originals event that will also feature reggaeton sensation J Balvin and country star Kane Brown ringing in the new year beginning at 10:30 p.m.
BTS
Since the South Korean sensations were pretty much everywhere in 2020, did you really think that they would take New Year’s Eve off? The K-popsters finish their truly “Dynamite” year by headlining a “2021 New Year’s Eve Live” concert. The epic event, also featuring Halsey and DJ Steve Aoki, kicks off at 7:30 a.m on Weverse.
Post Malone, Jack Harlow and more
You can party like a rock star with Post Malone, “WHATS POPPIN” rapper Harlow and more at “Bud Light Seltzer Sessions Presents New Year’s Eve 2021” streaming live from the Park MGM in Las Vegas. The free event will begin at 10:30 p.m. on Bud Light’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
Kiss
Looking for the perfect way to kiss off 2020? The famously face-painted rockers are staging a “Kiss 2020 Goodbye” concert from Dubai at 12 p.m. Tickets, for $39.99, are available at Kiss2020Goodbye.com. Champagne not included.
Kylie Minogue
After launching her “Disco” album with her “Kylie: Infinite Disco” concert in November, the Aussie dancing queen will take us grooving back to the show — for one more night only — at 9 p.m. Tickets, for $20, are available at Kylie.com.
The Avett Brothers
Pandemic be damned, the roots-rockers are continuing their tradition of performing on New Year’s Eve with their 17th annual NYE show. Tickets to the celebration — which begins at 8 p.m. with master of ceremonies Dax Shepard and special guest performers such as Willie Nelson and Brandi Carlile — are available at NYE.TheAvettBrothers.com, beginning at $39.99.
Melissa Etheridge
The rocker will be coming into your living room with her “Mamma’s Choice Concert,” a 90-minute show beginning at 6 p.m. You can watch from the comfort of your couch at EtheridgeTV.com for just $10.
