Intercity Bus Services To Resume Operation
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announced that intercity public bus services will be resumed in order to fulfil public demand starting from 31 December 2020.
The timings for the Intercity public bus services have been modified.
The buses that are resuming their services are X90 between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Cities, and buses X60, X62, X86, X87 and X88 between Al Dhafra Region and Abu Dhabi City.
The bus services will resume for two trips in both directions in Al Dhafra Region and Al Ain City due to public demand.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bus services were shut down. This is currently the first phase to open public buses back to their normal schedules.
The public demand for the buses will be taken into account in order to increase the bus services to maintain the safety of the public.
The buses will be sterilised with a capacity of 50% and passengers will have to maintain distance.
Face masks are mandatory and thermal cameras and are installed at entry gates.
