Here we look at the New Year’s Eve store hours at some fast food chains including McDonald’s, Wendy’s and others.
McDonald’s
The fast food chain is open on December 31, but some branches may be on reduced hours. Check your local branch for exact times before visiting. Typical hours of operation span from around 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily.
Hours and services available at several McDonald’s venues have also been modified amid the ongoing pandemic.
The company notes: “In order to comply with state and local regulations, some restaurants have had to adjust their operating hours. We are committed to serving you your McDonald’s favorites during these challenging times, and are closely monitoring additional restrictions as well as when they are able to be lifted.
“While more than 99 percent of our restaurants are open, we continue to act in line with local regulations, which unfortunately does mean that restaurants in select locations may be operating on limited hours or may be closed temporarily in an effort to protect the health of our people and you, our customers.
“Up-to-date information about restaurant hours or dates of re-opening will be available through the McDonald’s Global Mobile App,” the company advises.
Wendy’s
Most Wendy’s branches are open on New Year’s Eve. Normal hours are from around 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time daily but some may be on a reduced schedule on December 31. Contact your local venue to confirm times before visiting.
Burger King
Most Burger King restaurants are open on December 31. “Burger King typically does not close for the holidays. The restaurant chain operates on reduced hours during observed holidays,” which include New Year’s Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving, the company notes.
Burger King venues are open daily from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. local time. “The hours of operation could change, depending on the location. In the event the hours of operation change, the restaurant will post the changes. In the event a holiday falls on a weekday, the hours of operation could potentially change,” the company notes.
On weekends, the burger chain operates from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time. “The hours of operation could change, depending on the location, as well as state and local ordinances,” the company advises.
Chick-fil-A
The chicken sandwich chain is open on December 31.
The company notes: “Most Chick-fil-A locations will be open on New Year’s Eve from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. [local time], while on New Year’s Day, most restaurants will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.[local time]. Remember that hours vary by restaurant location, so be sure to check with your closest Chick-fil-A to see if they are open on New Year’s.”
Domino’s Pizza
Most branches of the pizza chain are open on New Year’s Eve but some venues may be on a modified schedule. Typically most locations are open from around 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. or 1 a.m. local time. Contact your local venue to confirm exact hours before traveling.
Chipotle
Most Chipotle restaurants are open on December 31 but may be operating on reduced hours. Check your nearest branch to confirm times before visiting.
The Mexican fast food chain has also implemented several safety protocols amid the ongoing outbreak, including enhanced sanitization measures and social distancing guidelines.
