British drugmaker AstraZeneca says it is going to enhance manufacturing of the coronavirus vaccine it developed with Oxford University to 2 million doses per week by the center of January.
The U.Ok. authorities had given its approval to the vaccine earlier within the week, and had initially ordered 100 million doses.
According to the Times, an unnamed member of the Oxford/AstraZeneca workforce stated manufacturing was anticipated to succeed in a complete of 1 million doses by the top of subsequent week.
“The plan is then to build it up fairly rapidly — by the third week of January we should get to two million a week,” they added.
This vaccine, just like the Pfizer/BioNTech jab, requires two doses.
