According to PTI, the 5 members who got here beneath extreme scrutiny after the controversy, will even depart in the identical chartered flight to Sydney together with the remainder of the group. “So there is no such thing as a restriction on these 5 gamers travelling with the group to Sydney. The whole group is flying tomorrow afternoon,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
It is understood that the controversy has not gone down well with the travelling team and it is not amused with how Cricket Australia has so far handled the issue.
“Had the gentleman (the fan) in query not lied about hugging a participant (Rishabh Pant) on social media, this mess would not have occurred. The gamers had gone inside as a result of it was drizzling.
“This guy, without permission, shot a video and then paid the bill which no one asked him to and after that for publicity put a screen grab of bill,” the official mentioned.
“You want to tell me that Cricket Australia will be taking a decision based on a purported video of a person who first lied and then retracted his statement,” he added.

Meanwhile, the disaster over the Brisbane Test continues to be intact. According to media stories, the Indian group has refused to go there, citing strict quarantine guidelines and mentioned that it is able to play the final two Tests in Sydney itself.
However, the BCCI official made it clear that the scenario on this case will not be clear but and the board has not taken any determination on it. As per the report, the board want to look forward to a couple of days for the time being.
