Motorcycles gutted, bombs hurled throughout TMCP-ABVP conflict in Bengal

KOLKATA: Several bikes had been set on hearth and crude bombs hurled throughout a conflict between college students affiliated to the TMCP and the ABVP in West Bengal’s Purba Medinipur district on Monday, police mentioned.

The conflict erupted over activists of RSS-affiliate Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) placing up flags and posters at Bajkul College, authorities of the academic establishment mentioned.

Several activists of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), the scholars’ wing of the ruling get together within the state, blocked the highway in entrance of the school alleging that a number of of its members had been injured within the conflict.
