New Delhi, Jan 04: Ahead of the subsequent spherical of talks between the Centre and the agitating farmers, the Congress Monday mentioned it could be a “true test of nationalism”, and warned no authorities can face the wrath of farmers “who believe they are being deceived”.
The authorities will maintain the seventh spherical of talks with the agitating farmers and their leaders at Vigyan Bhawan later within the day.
Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala mentioned on Twitter, “Today is the true test of ‘Nationalism’. Will Modi Government act in ‘National Interest’ or ‘Crony Corporate Interest’.”
The Congress has been demanding the repeal of the three farm legal guidelines whose enactment has triggered a large protest by farmers.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi mentioned these sitting beneath the dripping tents within the winter rains “are our own fearless farmers and not strangers”.

Congress leader P Chidambaram cited the words of noted poet Saint Tiruvalluvar who, the Congress leader noted, wrote about 2,000 years ago that “if farmers fold their palms, even an individual who has renounced life can’t survive”.
