Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will assist not solely to attain Turkmenistan’s financial priorities but in addition its social and environmental goals by adapting them to the nationwide plans and methods on socio-economic growth, Giorgi Kvinikadze, Statistician, FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia informed Trend.
“It is good to see that Turkmenistan was one of the first states that have formally adopted all 17 Sustainable Development Goals,” stated Kvinikadze.
Kvinikadze famous that the SDGs have been adopted because the UN Global Goals by all UN Member States, together with Turkmenistan, in 2015 and intention to finish poverty, shield the planet, and guarantee prosperity for everybody by 2030.
SDG indicators assist monitor the achievement of SDGs. In whole there are 232 SDG indicators, out of which 21 are beneath FAO custodianship. This signifies that FAO helps the methodology and manufacturing of information to measure these 21 SDG indicators on the nationwide stage.
