Target To Have 50% Vaccinated By End Of March
National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that so far 826,301 COVID-19 doses have been administered in the UAE.
On average 47,000 doses are given out to the public each day and up to now 8% of the population have already received the vaccine.
NCEMA aims to provide 50% of the UAE population with the vaccine by the end of the first quarter of this year.
The current aim focuses on providing more vaccines for the public in order to decrease the number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE and to ensure public safety.
The campaign ‘Together We Recover’ has been launched in order to give the public the information needed to make a decision on the vaccine that can help in containing the spread of the virus.
Currently, people over 60, people of determination and people with chronic diseases are of high priority to get the vaccine.
