On Saturday, the province reported 3,127 new COVID-19 cases recorded over the previous day, the highest daily total the province has reported since the pandemic began.
The number is significantly higher than the average number of cases, 2,522, recorded over the previous six days.
The province reported 12 more people have died, which means 269 people in Quebec have died because of the virus since the start of 2021.
Quebec also reported that 13,101 people were vaccinated on Friday. Over the previous six days, an average of 5,865 vaccines were administered.
In Ontario, 3,443 new cases were reported on Saturday.
