Gusts up to 90 kilometres an hour are expected throughout the morning before diminishing in the afternoon.
Similar warnings have been issued for much of southern and central Alberta as well. Drumheller could see gusts of up to 110 kilometres an hour, while people in Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass could see gusts reaching 120 kilometres an hour.
Environment Canada is advising people to pack away loose objects such as patio furniture, and to adjust their driving to road conditions.
