The incident happened on Tuesday night around 9:15 p.m. when patrol officers responded to call about a man with a gun in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue.
The adult male suspect had been seen with the gun at a residence, then left the area.

The man was arrested without trouble. On his person, officers found a loaded pump-action sawed-off shotgun.
The firearm has several alterations — including concerning its serial number.

The Major Crimes Branch is continuing to investigate the weapon.
