Gujarat cadre IAS officer A Ok Sharma, who just lately took voluntary retirement from the service and joined the BJP, has been named celebration’s candidate for the MLC polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Besides Sharma, the BJP has additionally named Swatantra Dev, Dinesh Sharma and Laxman Prasad Acharya as celebration’s candidates for the ballot. Elections to the 12 seats of the Legislative Council will likely be held on January 28. The final date for the submitting of nominations is January 18.
Sharma had labored with Narendra Modi from 2001 to 2020. He initially labored within the Gujarat chief minister’s workplace and later within the PMO.
