Pfizer vaccine deliveries can be minimize in half for 4 weeks: Fortin
Deliveries of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses can be minimize in half on the finish of January and early February, Major-General Dany Fortin, head of Canada’s vaccine distribution efforts, instructed a press convention this afternoon.
The delays will start the week of Jan. 25 and proceed for 4 weeks, after which deliveries are anticipated to ramp up, he stated.
The vaccine makers say elevated deliveries in late February and early March will offset the delays, Fortin stated.
“This is a bump on the road and we’ll continue to cruise forward after that,” he stated.
Canada nonetheless expects to have acquired 2 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine by the top of March, he stated.
