The numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases continued to drop Saturday in Windsor-Essex County, with the health unit reporting an additional 87 cases, while there were seven more deaths.
Of the 87 new cases, 24 are outbreak related, two are attributed to close contact with a person who previously tested positive, one was community acquired and 60 are under investigation by the health unit.
There are 120 people with COVID-19 in hospital.
That brings the total number of people in Windsor-Essex who have tested positive to 10,752.
In addition, 232 more cases have resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 7,928.
The seven people who died include three in long-term care and retirement homes – a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s. The remaining four were community residents – a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s and two men in their 90s.
