The Ministry of Health and Prevention in UAE has issued a circular for private health facilities to postpone non-essential surgeries in the emirates, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The circular has been issued for facilities located in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah, where the facilities have been asked to postpone surgeries that require general anesthesia and blood transfusion, in addition to stopping cosmetic services such as hair removal, botox, fillers, and facelift and hair transplantation.
According to a report in Al Bayan, Dental treatments and procedures for people suffering for people suffering from respiratory symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, or cold are also advised to be rescheduled.
The circular also included the instructions to delay the provision of 5 types of health services, from today until further notice, including cupping and physiotherapy.
