India is set to celebrate its 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday January 26 with full fervour and gusto. The day marks the completion of India’s transition towards becoming an independent republic after its constitution came into effect. In the wake of the Republic Day, several security arrangements and route diversions have been kept in place to ensure smooth run of customary parade and tractor march.

Republic Day Parade Timing
On Tuesday, the Republic Day parade will begin at 9.50 AM from Vijay Chowk and move towards the National Stadium. The tableaux will start from Vijay Chowk and proceed towards the Red Fort.
Starting from Vijay Chowk, the parade will pass through Rajpath, Amar Jawan Jyoti, India Gate, Princess Palace roundabout, Tilak Marg and Radial Road.
The tableaux will start from Vijay Chowk and proceed to Red Fort via Rajpath, India Gate, Princess Palace roundabout, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg.
Metro schedule and parking facility at stations
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also announced to curtail the metro services owing to heavy security arrangements by security forces for the national dat events and parade.
As per the announcement, the services on HUDA City Centre-Samaypur Badli metro line will be partially regulated on January 26. Entry and Exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations will remain closed till 12 noon. However, the facility of interchange services at Central Secretariat between Line 2 and Line 6 will be available. Entry and Exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro stations will remain closed from 08:45 am to 12 noon.
It is to be noted that as part of the security arrangements, all metro parking lots will also remain closed from 6 am on January 25 till 2 pm on January 26.

Farmers’ Tractor March Route
The Tractor march will be taken on five routes. More than 1 lakh tractors are expected to be seen taking part in the peaceful rally scheduled for the Republic Day.
The tractor rally will enter Delhi from Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders, and return to its originating points. From Singhu, it will pass through Kanjhawala, Bawana, Auchandi border, KMP Expressway and then return to Singhu. From Tikri border, it will go to Nagloi & pass through Najafgarh and Western Peripheral Expressway. From Ghazipur border, the rally will go to 56-foot road and return to its originating point passing through Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway.
