A total of 443 fines were issued by Dubai Police to mall-goers found to be in violation of Covid-19 protocols this month.

An advisory by the Dubai Media Office noted that the fines were issued to people who were found to not be wearing masks, during the authority’s inspections of five malls across the emirate.
A further 1,569 people were issued warnings, while 17 gatherings were found to be in violation of Covid-19 precautionary measures.

City authorities have ramped up inspections amid a surge in new daily infections across the country.
