The final of the on-going Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy would be played on Sunday between Tamil Nadu and Baroda. Both the teams had a considerably easy semi-final matches. Baroda, even without their superstars Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda have looked brilliant on the field. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu look good with their stars, Dinesh Karthik, Arun Karthik and M Mohammed performing well in the matches leading up to the final.
The road to the final:
Baroda had a slightly tricky Quarter Final against Haryana where they won on the last ball of the match. But, they came back strong in the semi-final against Punjab. A game which everyone expected Punjab to win was triumphed by a good batting performance by Devdhar and a disciplined bowling spell by Lukman Meriwala. Punjab who were playing with the like of Gurkeerat Singh, Mandeep Singh, Siddharth Kaul and Mayank Markande were considered to be favorites by some. But Baroda won the game by a decent 25 run margin.
Tamil Nadu, on the other hand has been having a smooth run against teams. They won the Quarter final against Himachal Pradesh in the eighteenth over. Sonu Yadav and Shahrukh Khan were the pick of the players in bowling and batting, respectively. The semi-final was also won easily against Rajasthan. A match in which Arun Karthik scored a match winning 89* runs.

Time and Venue of the final?
The final would be played at the new Sardar Patel Stadium aka Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. The live telecast begins from 7 pm IST on Sunday, 31 January, 2021.
Where to watch?
The Final between Baroda and Tamil Nadu would be telecasted live on the Star Sports Network, while the online streaming of the same would be available on Hotstar from 7 pm on Sunday.
