The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Sunday reported 2,948 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 4,189 recoveries. Twelve deaths were also reported.

The total number of cases in UAE as on January 31 stand at 303,609 while total recoveries are 276,958. The death toll rises to 850.
More than 25.7 tests have been carried out across the country to date.

On Sunday, Dubai announced the launch of a Vaccine Logistics Alliance to speed up distribution of Covid-19 vaccines around the world.
The alliance will support the World Health Organisation’s COVAX initiative and its efforts to equitably distribute two billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines in 2021.
Health authorities in the emirate will also start offering the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine from today, Sunday, January 31.
Meanwhile, starting Monday, February 1, people looking to drive to Abu Dhabi will need to show Covid-19 negative test results via the contact tracing Al Hosn app and not the SMS notification.
The revised guideline is one among other restrictions that Abu Dhabi has tightened for those looking to enter the Capital.
