The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday reported 2,730 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 4,452 recoveries. Nine deaths were also reported.

The total number of cases in UAE as on February 1 stand at 306,339 while total recoveries are 281,410. The death toll rises to 859.

On Sunday, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced it was designating the Al Khawaneej and Al Badaa health centres as dedicated Covid-19 treatment centres.
The centres will cater to Covid-positive patients who are referred based on appointments set by the DHA Contact Centre and the Covid-19 Command and Control Centre.
Meanwhile, a new app has been launched by Emirates to offer cheaper PCR tests and seamless travel.
The airline will trial TrustOne, a mobile app that allows passengers to undergo PCR tests at special discounted rates.
Dubai Police have also called on residents to report any Covid safety violations they spot anywhere in the emirate.
Violations of Covid precautionary measures can be reported via the police number 901 or the police app. “This will help us ensure safety in society,” the police said.
