A heavy snowfall through the night is making for a slippery commute to work this morning.
A snowfall warning remains in effect for Calgary. Environment Canada says the total snowfall could be 10 to 15 centimetres before it tapers off around noon.
It’s going to remain cold as well, with the temperature rising to -12 C. Winds will make it feel more like -23 C.
The City of Calgary has reported at least four traffic incidents due to snow since midnight.
According to the city’s traffic department, extreme cold through the night may have led to ice buildup on certain sections of road. It’s warning drivers to use caution, especially on hills, bridges and intersections.
