The vows and the rings have been exchanged and the couples of Married at First Sight‘s 12th season have all officially met. They have their group honeymoon to look forward to now, but before the newlyweds jet off to an exotic oasis, they’ll each enjoy their first night and morning together as man and wife.
The first married night will go better for some couples than others, particularly in the case of Vincent and Briana, who hit it off almost immediately after tying the knot. In a Newsweek-exclusive sneak peek (above) of the upcoming episode, the pair wake up full of matrimonial bliss after spending their wedding night talking themselves to sleep.
“Our first night went very well. We talked about a lot of things but no hanky panky,” Briana said during confessional. “I was talking to him and heard a [snoring sound]. Then I was like, ‘Yup, he’s sleep. I’m going to bed.'”
Their bonding continues when they strike up a conversation about their usual morning routine. Vincent reveals that he’s big on breakfast.
“Breakfast is like my favorite meal of the day,” Vincent says, adding that he could chow down on breakfast food at any time of the day or night. “Nine o’clock at night I could have some eggs, bacon.”
He adds: “There’s nothing like the smell of bacon in the morning.”
Briana, catching onto his not-so-subtle hints, asks, “So you want me to cook you breakfast in the morning?”
“If you can. I would really appreciate it if you did,” Vincent replies.
Briana smiles brightly at him as she considers it. “I think that can happen,” she says, “Occasionally.”
Vincent can’t help but smile back and later confesses how smitten he is with his new wife during a confessional session with the show producers.
“Waking up next to her was an amazing feeling,” Vincent explains. “It wasn’t a dream. I really did get married. I feel comfortable around her. I think this is probably one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life and I’m just really happy, extremely happy.”
Back in the hotel room, the duo continues their flirtatious banter and Vincent finally asks Briana for her number. She stores her number in his phone, and tells him exactly what he needs to save her as: “Wifey, heart heart. The peach emoji for the peach butt.”
Wearing a big smile on her face, she hands the phone back to him and adds, “And you should put the eggplant emoji.”
