Representative Ayanna Pressley says she felt a “deep and ancestral” terror at the hands of “white supremacist mobs” during last month’s riot at the Capitol.
Pressley (D-MA), a member of the far-left ‘Squad’ of progressive House Democrats, made the comments during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
“As a black woman, to be barricaded in my office using office furniture and water bottles on the ground in the dark, that terror, those moments of terror, is familiar in a deep and ancestral way for me,” she said.
The Democrat lawmaker went on to suggest the riots were carried out at the hands of white supremacists, something she claims African-Americans have had to “clean up after” for generations.
“One of the images that I’m haunted by is the Black custodial staff cleaning up the mess left by that violent white supremacist mob,” noted Pressley.
“That is a metaphor for America. We have been cleaning up after violent, white supremacist mobs for generations and it must end.”

Ayanna Pressley is just one of many Democrats that have somehow morphed the narrative of a mostly peaceful protest about the election into an insurrection by so-called white supremacists.
But unlike her Squadmate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Pressley says she actually feels safe going back to the Capitol.
“I feel safe. Living with threats and living with bigots, who are as vile in their rhetoric as they are in their policies … and the harm they seek to cause in the most marginalized communities – black Americans in particular, is not new,” she asserted.
“Again, this is familiar in an ancestral sort of way,” added Pressley. “So, it is not going to deter or obstruct me from doing my job on behalf of the American people.”

Tapper Sneers At ‘MAGA Terrorists’
Naturally, Jake Tapper sat there nodding along sympathetically with Pressley, like a bobblehead doll.
Rather than pointing out that the protests involved the election and not white supremacy. Rather than pointing out Democrats had protested the election in 2017 and 2005. Rather than pointing out that leftists engaged in rioting at federal buildings all summer long.
Doing his job as an alleged journalist is not in Jake’s best interest. Fomenting hatred from his Democrat guests is what CNN viewers want – and Tapper is all too happy to deliver.
This is, after all, the same man who alleged that Republicans are responsible for stopping “insane lies” that have resulted in “MAGA terrorism.”

There is no longer a discernible line between the thought process of CNN anchors and the Squad.
AOC, who accused Senator Ted Cruz of attempted murder and said she feared for her life during the siege, has recently been accused of embellishing her story for attention.

Tlaib had to be consoled on the House floor as she tearfully described her own terror.
“I ask my colleagues to please try not to dehumanize what’s happening. This is real…Please take what happened on January 6 seriously.”

Pressley went on to say that former President Donald Trump “must be held accountable” for “having incited this insurrection.”
