Bahrain has announced the suspension of all prayers and religious events at mosques for two weeks, effective from Thursday, February 11.

Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia too announced a decision to close a number of mosques after the detection of new Covid cases among worshippers and mosque employees.

Closer to home, Ras Al Khaimah is the latest emirate to announce fresh Covid-19 restrictions. Authorities on Wednesday reduced operating capacities across commercial establishments and public spaces, as it steps up the fight against the pandemic.
