Update: February 12, 2021 (3:50 AM ET): Earlier this week, Samsung started its One UI 3.1 rollout to the Galaxy S20 FE. Devices in Europe were the first to receive the update. Now, it seems that the rollout has been halted.
According to SamMobile, the update is no longer available for Galaxy S20 FE users. There’s no indication of why it was pulled, but it’s possible the update is buggier than initially anticipated. This wouldn’t be the first time this year that a buggy update may have been pulled, as Samsung pulled and then re-released a Galaxy S10 update last month.
The initial One UI 3.1 update brought firmware version G781BXXU2CUB5 to the device and weighed in at around 1.7GB. Samsung’s UI refresh also brought Google Discover’s availability on the home screen, better location management for photos, and a few UI tweaks to boot.
If you happened to install the update before it was pulled, let us know if you’re experiencing any issues with it in the comments.

Although the Galaxy S20 FE ticked all the right boxes as an affordable Samsung flagship, the device did face a notable issue post-launch. Some users reported problems with the phone’s screen sensitivity and performance. Samsung pushed two updates in October with hopes to address the issue
A third update – firmware version G781BXXU1ATK1 – was distributed in November. The update also brought with it the November security patch for Android. Per comments on social media and forums, these three updates didn’t resolve the issues for several S20 FE owners.
