A Windsor man is facing numerous charges in Kingston, after a couple were attacked there Thursday night, according to Kingston police.
Police said in a news release that at about 6:50 p.m., a man and a woman were sitting in their vehicle in the rear parking lot of their apartment building for “a prearranged transactional exchange.”
The news release said that another man, the buyer in the exchange, then exited the apartment building and entered the couple’s vehicle. He sat behind the driver’s seat and the transaction was completed.
Suddenly, the buyer pulled a knife and demanded his money back before stabbing the man in the face, police said.
They reported that the buyer then punched the man repeatedly, and when the woman tried to intervene, the buyer punched her in the face, too. The buyer then fled the vehicle on foot and police were called.
Officers arrived and found that the man’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
Officers investigated further and found the buyer inside one of the apartment building’s units. The buyer was arrested at about 8:20 p.m., and records showed he was breaching multiple court-imposed conditions of a release order.
Kingston Police have charged Noah White, 18, of Windsor, with two counts each of robbery with a weapon and failing to comply with his release order, and one count each of aggravated assault and assault. White was held in police custody to appear in bail court the next day.
