The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCM) tweeted that fog formation in some parts of the country started at 08:00pm on Saturday and continued until Sunday morning, as visibility dropped to less than 1,000 metres.

Speed limit back to normal
The Abu Dhabi Police had announced speed limit reduction on major roads from and towards the Capital to 80kmph.

However, in the latest update, Abu Dhabi Police have now stated that speed limits on Abu Dhabi’s external roads are back to normal.

The police activated speed reduction system on Trucks road ( Abu Dhabi – Al Ain ), Sweihan road (Abu Dhabi – Zayed Military City) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Intl. road (Al Mirfa – Al Sila) and on (Al Sad – Sweihan) road
Lowest temperature touches 11.6°C
According to the NCM, the lowest temperature recorded over the UAE was 11.6°C in Al Jazeera B.G (Al Dhafra) at 3:45am (UAE time).

Humidity will increase at night and on Monday early morning, with a probability of fog or mist formation over some northern coastal areas. Light to moderate winds in general and freshening at times.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
An increase in temperatures is expected today. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to hover around 25 – 30°C along internal areas, 23 – 27°C along the coast and 16 – 21°C in the mountains.
Expect more foggy mornings
Following heavy fog that affected visibility all over the country on Sunday, the NCM noted that fog and mist can be expected in the UAE during the next few days.

The agency said weather in the UAE will be fair and partly cloudy till Wednesday with chances of fog formation in the mornings. However, on Thursday, it will be dusty and partly cloudy with a rise in temperatures.
