The UAE has appointed two new ministers. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made the announcement on Saturday.

Hamad Mubarak Al Shamsi, former secretary-general of the Supreme Petroleum Council, has been appointed as a minister of state.
Khalifa Saeed Suleiman has been appointed as head of ceremonials for the Vice-President and Prime Minister. He holds a ministerial rank.
Sheikh Mohammed tweeted that the appointments have been made under the directives of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and after consultation with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Sheikh Mohammed wished the two new ministers success in their new roles. “May Allah help them serve their country and people.”
