Over 31.7 million tests have been conducted in the UAE to date to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Thursday reported 3,072 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 2,026 recoveries and 10 deaths.

The new cases were detected through 242,742 additional tests.
Over 31.7 million tests have been conducted across the UAE to date as part of the country’s massive screening programmes to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The total number of cases in UAE as on March 5 are 405,277 while total recoveries stand at 389,304. The death toll rises to 1,296.
The United States recorded fewer than 40,000 new daily cases of Covid-19 for the first time in five months on Thursday, a piece of promising news as countries across the globe struggle to hold off another infection surge before inoculations become widespread.
But with cases declining and vaccines rolling out, several US states have begun jettisoning mask-wearing rules — much to the chagrin of President Joe Biden, who called the move “Neanderthal thinking.”
Meanwhile, the government of Kuwait has announced it will impose a 5pm to 5am curfew and close parks from Sunday until April 8 in a bid to contain the coronavirus.
In the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah declared that wedding and event halls in the emirate would continue to remain closed until April 8, 2021.
