Two weather alerts issued due to strong winds.
The UAE’s weather bureau has warned of rough seas and low visibility caused by strong winds, as it issued two weather alerts on Saturday, March 6.
The National Centre of Meteorology said the sea would be “rough to very rough” in the Arabian Gulf. Wave heights would reach up to 9 feet “due to fresh and strong … Northwesterly winds”.

The winds would reach speeds of up to 55kmph. The alert is on from 12pm on March 6 to 12pm on March 7.
Low visibility
Winds “loaded with dust” will also blow up sand, reducing horizontal visibility over some areas from 12pm to 7pm.

The Abu Dhabi Police have urged drivers to be cautious due to low visibility caused by strong winds and dust.
“And for your safety and (that) of others on the road, please do not be distracted by taking any videos or using your phone,” the police appealed.
