Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group still believe Jurgen Klopp is the right man to lead the team forward despite the appalling run of form going on at the moment.
Having won the Premier League title after a 30-year dry-spell last season, the Merseysiders have now lost seven of their last 10 outings in the English top flight. Injuries have severely hampered their campaign, especially in defence, but it has recently become obvious that their issues stretch all over the pitch. These results have expectedly raised concerns among the supporters, additionally fueled by various media speculations, that the German might lose his job soon.
However, several more reliable journalists, most notably Paul Joyce of The Times, report that this is not the case. FSG still have faith in Klopp, and what’s more, they’re planning to put a significant sum at the club’s disposal for reinforcements this summer, regardless of the high probability that Liverpool will not be playing in the Champions League next season. For his part, Klopp doesn’t think a major overhaul is necessary, but a few high-quality additions in several places in the squad would obviously come in handy.
