UAE Covid: Not wearing masks tops safety violations list

Close to 50% of 56,000 safety violations spotted across UAE were residents without masks.

The UAE authorities spotted close to 56,000 Covid safety violations across the UAE in February, a top official has said.

DON’T MISS: 5 situations when you can remove masks temporarily

Residents not wearing masks topped the list of violations, with 47 per cent caught without it in public.

Safety measures not being implemented by commercial establishments came in next at 20.5 per cent of all violations.

About 17.5 per cent of the violations were failure to ensure adequate social distancing. About 8 per cent of violations were related to having more than three unrelated people in the same car.

About 4.5 per cent were related to gatherings.
